Circuits
Another day and another set of goals targeted.
Today was all about the circuit again concentrating on getting all the new learning lined up.
Weather wise it was a bit of a challenge as Masterton put on a blistering hot day at 30+ however we also had a 10kt cross wind which for a wee Tecnam made things interesting: bouncing around in both thermal and crosswind.
My circuits went much better with good take off, climb out, climbing turn to crosswind, and a great steady downwind. The change from 100kt downwind to around 70kt base took a bit to get right. The final was getting good too, however they got a bit wild on the landing as I was not fully in line, so I had the wobbles.
I hate that feeling of swerving all over the runway trying to counter with rudder only to over correct and send the plane wildly in the other direction. I really need to keep on the mains as long as I can until the aircraft naturally drops the nose down at a nice low speed.
This will come I am sure. All in all, a great day out and I am happy that good progress is being made.
I am so happy that I am still training hard and didn’t give this passion to fly away. Yes, it is taking a long time, but it will be so worth it when I solo again.
Bring it on!
Until next time….
