A New Hope
Well its been almost a year since my last post See “Blog – An Apology 12/07/2020” and that was almost the end of this blog…..
But how things change. Life gets in the way of things and our priorities change. COVID-19 caught the world out and is still inflicting carnage and chaos across the world. We live in different times, Times where we redefine what we need and what we can achieve if we put our minds to it.
Not long after my last post, I decided that the naysayers had no place in my life. They suck the life out of peoples dreams and I was determined not to let them get me. I made up my mind then and there to defy them: To deny them: To despise them. I had a dream of flight and damn it I was going to fulfil that dream. So I didn’t get mad: I got to work!
In July 2020 I left one flying club and moved on to another closer to home. I also inherited some money and decided to use that to fund my goal of returning to solo status. I can say now that this journey has not been given on a plate. I had to work damn hard but I have now achieved that goal of going solo again.
Always remember: Never ,ever, give your dreams up. Ever! I will start posting my journey again soon in the hope it inspires one person to achieve their dream. In this crazy COVID tainted world, we all need a dream.
