Apology

An Apology

It has come to my attention that some of the comments in these blogs may have offended some people in the aviation community. That was, and never will be my intention. This blog is purely my personal thoughts on how my flight training is progressing and the challenges I face. All comments are my own and do not reflect on anyone or any organisation. Quite the contrary. I am immensely thankful to all the people I have met and the encouragement and time they have given me.

The backbone of aviation is the clubs and its members. Flight Instructors are people that give up their personal time to assist trainees to achieve their aviation goals. In comparing their skillsets with a full time “A Cat” instructor I was attempting to point out that there are differences in the trainees they have seen and the strategies that they have used to assist these trainees. It is not a reflection on part-timers vs full time instructors. I was trying to point out that sometimes you just need another set of eyes on the student. Someone that has more experience in finding the issues that they face and have methodologies learnt from hard won experience that may or may not help in curing bad tendencies.

If I have offended anyone, then I sincerely and unequivocally apologise.
