Blog – Circuits & FLWOP 25/08/2024

Today was a blustery one in Wairarapa so it was going to be interesting.

After take off from 06, we headed out to the training area to do some forced landings.

I set up and went thru the process without any issues, included all the checks and radio calls and flew really well today.

Its so satisfying when everything just clicks and you are one with the aircraft. Nothing better than a sharp mind that recalls every step effortlessly and puts that into a smooth safe plan of action that the aircraft flies like its on rails. Awesome!

Despite the challenging wind conditions I also flew three really nice circuits. I even “buttered” the last landing! What a way to finish off an awesome days flying. I was super happy!

I wish every day was like this. More of these days will come. It is so satisfying when I fly well.
