If you are feeling keen, the entire Syllabus can be found at https://www.aviation.govt.nz/assets/publications/pilot-syllabus-assistance-archive/Subject-8-PPL-Meteorology.pdf

I did warn you it was huge! Thanks for sticking with me.

I booked this exam at my local  Aspeq Examination Centre for Tuesday 15 March.

This exam was a 35 question 70 minute multi-choice online exam.

For this exam I studied long and hard as fellow flyers at the Aero club had said that they had “only just scraped thru” and had some real stinkers of questions.

I was fairly confident going into this one as I had really hammered the test exams I found online.

The exam itself was “fair” in that I got only 1 question where I had no idea of the process to use. However I took an educated guess.

Some questions were designed to really test your knowledge. I used logic and safety first as my mantra on the harder questions. Like all previous exams, I stayed until 1 min from the end going over and over my answers. I had to wait 24hrs for the results to come up on my profile but I was pleased to pass with a nice 86%. After checking on the sections in which I didn’t do well, I was only slightly off on the questions I tagged.

Great to get this fifth exam done. Last cab off the rank is “Air Law”. That should be riveting eh?

Until next time….
