Blog – FLWOP (Forced Landing Without Power) 24/02/2024

Today was a return to forced landings without power.

Flying was again frustrating today. I kept squeezing in on my approach pattern and couldn’t get my heights or speed dialled in.

Every time I looked down, I pushed the stick forward and lost the flightpath.

I was not doing well at all and was having difficulty with everything. It took a few times to get a better track and hit my marks. These should be easy by now.

To fly the correct procedure see “Forced Landings Without Power“,

My decisions were poor and not decisive and my flying was very average. Some things I did do well however the PPL standard is much higher than I am currently demonstrating. I need to hit the books and do some “chair flying” to get my head around this. I’m very frustrated that once again I’m flying erratically.

I need to get these procedures nailed. How I’m going to do that, I don’t know for sure. I just know that I’m going to have to really work hard to overcome this tendency. I’m frustrated to the max!

Until next time…..
