Hi All,
Low Flying Revision
A beautiful spring morning today with light winds and almost no cloud.
My FI and I flew from NZPP to the Otaki training area and commenced descending to 600amsl. The aircraft was configured for 70kts with 20deg of flap. The aircraft got buffeted in places due to some thermals in the area.
The native Karearea (Falcons) lazed away in these. So cool to see nature whilst flying. Don’t worry I kept well clear of them.
Once again we went thru valleys and over saddles. My FI made the training challenging as he would decide that a certain area was “cloud down to ground ahead so turn around”. I worked on all the training to date with reciprocal turns, slow flight, straight and level, and medium turns.
I returned to NZPP and had an almost perfect landing in the slight cross wind. (I got points off for not being on the centre line). Another challenging but fun filled session. What an awesome day to fly. Happy Days!
