Blog – PPL Exercises 14/12/2024

Today’s mission was to work through the requirements again for the flight test concentrating on the issues I had last time and looking for consistency and accuracy.

The weather was turbulent which made things a bit “interesting”.

After running through our pre-flight, taxi, run-ups, and take-off we flew out to the training area and ran thru the following:

  • Levelling off at a specified height
  • Cruise flight into slow flight
  • Stall – clean configuration
  • Stall – Full flaps
  • Wing drop stall
  • Force Landing without Power
  • Precautionary Landing
  • Coastal Reversal
  • Feature Reversal
  • Climb to specified altitude
  • Level flight on selected heading
  • Short Field Landing

Without boring the heck out of you again , I was much better on most of these. I took a breath before each task, slowed it all down and went thru them methodically. I was very happy with them.

Yay. I’m also getting sharper with short field landings using power to bring the aircraft onto the touchdown point.

Next lesson we will rinse and repeat, working towards consistency and accuracy.

Until next time…
